Lippan Art
A mud work (Lippan art) workshop was conducted on 13th July 2024.
Warli Painting
Warli Painting is a traditional form of tribal murals, now diversified into portrayal on canvas and cloth too.
This art is being kept alive by the efforts of Payal Rathwa, a public spirited and large hearted transgender person who has done commendable work in the area.
Payal Rathwa conducted workshops to demonstrate warli painting under the aegis of Swayam Foundation on 15th March, 2024 and 17th August, 2024.
Swayam is happy to showcase the art of warli painting and gratified by the opportunity to contribute to the public acceptance of transgender people as equal members of society.
Another workshop was held on 21st September 2024 where Minaxi Trivedi demonstrated and taught the participants the art of warli painting on fabric.
