Swayam teaches tailoring skills to the participants of the class at its centre located in Gulbai Tekra area. We provide the space and sewing machines. All the participants need to bring along are a pen, a pencil, a notebook, coloured chalks, white thread, a wooden ruler, a measuring tape, needles, a pair of scissors, and one metre of any cloth for practice!

Among other things, the participants are taught to make ethnic potlis (small sling bags) and pouches from useless scraps of clothing material.
